Frequently Asked Questions

  • If you have mold on your rubber gasket
Try to clean with bleach or a spray called מסיר עובש.
  • My washing machine is not draining properly. What can I try to do myself before calling you down?
I recommend opening up the filter on the bottom and emptying out anything stuck in there (the filter is usually located on the bottom right of the machine)
  • My machine is shoring the electricity.
Who should I call first? An electrician or an appliance repair technician? Usually this is an indication that your machine is the cause, therefore you need to call me down.
  • Staining
If your clothing come out of a wash with gray splotches you can try the 3 following steps: 1)clean the machine with Calgon/Citric acid (מלח לימון) and Run on an empty cycle at 60°. In addition make sure you do not have mold on the rubber gasket. 2)Change to a liquid laundry detergent, such as sano maksima gel. 3)Add a filter to the water pipe that will purify the water . This staining problem is common mainly during the summer season.
  • My machine is giving me electronic shocks, especially my washing machine what should I do?
I recommend calling an electrician asap.
  • Why does my dryer have water in the vent pipe?
That usually means the pipe is squeezed/pinched or sagged. Due to these reason's, the air coming out of the dryer condensates into water.
  • Why does my dryer take so much time to dry?
There could be several reasons why this might happen : - It could be that the vent of the dryer is blocked. - If it's a condenser dryer, there is an additional filter that has to be taken out and cleaned under water. - If you have a heat pump dryer, that's the way they are made. (In the future, I recommend to consult before buying a dryer)
  • I have a terrible burning smell coming out of my oven what should I do?
There are a few possibilities for this cause; - something might of spilled onto the bottom of your oven. - It might mean the plug of your oven is melted. In any case, I would recommend that until you find the source, do not use your oven for safety reasons.
